Gothic Horror
Gothic fiction, or commonly referred to as Gothic horror, is a genre of literature that combines elements of both horror and often romance. As a genre, Gothic Horror is generally believed to have been invented by the English author Horace Walpole when he wrote his 1764 novel, The Castle of Otranto. A very famous example of a Gothic Horror story is Marry Shelley's Frankenstein (1818).
